Why You Should Quarantine Every New Clone
A clone from a dispensary or a friend's tent carries whatever that tent had. Ten days of separation is the cheapest insurance in cultivation.
The protocol
Keep the new plant in a different room, under its own light, for 7-10 days. Inspect leaf undersides with a loupe on day one, day four, and day eight. Hang a sticky trap next to it.
A preventative wash
Many growers do one insecticidal soap application on day one and a second on day five while the plant is still isolated. This is the safest time to spray anything.
What to look for
Stippling, webbing, silver scarring, tiny moving specks, sticky residue, white dust, and any insect on a sticky trap.
