Yield follows watts, not plant count

Photons are the raw material of flower. A fixture drawing 450 real watts produces roughly the same total harvest whether it sits over one plant or six — the difference is how long you veg to fill the space. That is why grams per watt is the standard benchmark.

Why experience shifts the number

The gap between a first run and a fifth run is almost never the nutrients. It is a stable environment, correct watering rhythm, canopy management, and the discipline to harvest at the right trichome colour instead of a week early out of impatience.

Training multiplier

An untrained plant puts most of its energy into one apical cola while lower sites become larf. Topping and low-stress training create an even canopy where every site sits in strong light, which is why we apply a meaningful penalty for untrained grows.

Common questions

How much can one cannabis plant yield indoors?
A well-grown photoperiod plant under 150-200 watts of quality LED typically produces 3-6 ounces dried. Yield tracks light and canopy area far more closely than plant count — four small plants under one light usually beat one plant under the same light.
What is a good grams-per-watt number?
First-time growers commonly land around 0.5-0.8 g/W. A second or third run with the same setup usually reaches 0.8-1.1. Experienced growers with a dialed environment hit 1.1-1.5 g/W, and above that generally requires CO2 supplementation.
Does training increase yield?
Yes, substantially. Topping, LST, and a SCROG net spread the canopy so light hits many colas instead of one dominant top. The same fixture over an even canopy can produce 20-40% more than over an untrained plant.
Why is my yield lower than expected?
The usual culprits are insufficient light intensity, containers too small to support the canopy, harvesting too early, and inconsistent watering. Environment problems — heat, VPD swings, poor airflow — cost more yield than nutrients ever will.
