Exhaust fans run 24 hours a day, so their efficiency matters more than the light's. A brushless EC motor moves the same 400 CFM as a standard AC fan while pulling roughly 25 watts instead of 75.
It is also dramatically quieter — about 28 dB at mid speed, which is below the noise floor of most rooms.
Variable speed control lets you match the fan to your tent volume and the static pressure your carbon filter adds, instead of running wide open and wasting power.

- Why pay more than for an AC fan?
- Because it runs 24/7. The wattage saved over a full grow generally pays back a good part of the difference, and it is far quieter while doing it.
- Will it still pull through a carbon filter?
- Yes. It is rated with filter static pressure in mind — pair it with the low-restriction filter for the quietest, lowest-draw setup.
