Germination Starter Kit (Dome, Tray, Plugs, Cups)
Stage: Germination

View cart & checkoutSoak seeds in room-temperature water for about 15 hours in a dark spot, then move them to a damp paper towel inside a sealed container, still in the dark, for a few days until the tap root shows.
This kit covers all of it: soak cups, paper towels, a sealed container, peat starter plugs, a seedling tray, a vented humidity dome and plant labels.
The dome holds humidity high for the first week, which is when seedlings have almost no roots and lose water through their leaves faster than they can take it up.

Questions about this product
- Why does it need to be dark?
- Seeds germinate underground. Light during the soak and towel stage slows or stalls the tap root.
- How long until it sprouts?
- Typically 2-5 days in the towel after the soak. Plant tap-root down as soon as it is about a quarter inch.
