What height should I hang at?

Measured canopy to fixture: 28 – 34 in over seedlings at low power, 24 – 30 in in veg, 18 – 24 in through peak flower, and 22 – 28 in in the last ripening weeks as you ease the intensity back. Hold the back of your hand at canopy height for 30 seconds. If it feels uncomfortably hot, the light is too close for the plant too. Build a kit and we print exact numbers for your fixture.

Hanging height is the setting people get wrong most often. Too close scorches and bleaches the tops; too far makes plants stretch and produce loose, airy flowers.

Ratchet hangers let you move the fixture in small, controlled increments without unhooking anything, which matters most in the first three weeks of flower when plants can nearly double in height.
