Is CO2 Supplementation Worth It in a Home Tent?
CO2 is the last variable to optimize, not the first. In a vented tent it is usually money burned, and here is why.
Why it usually fails at home
Supplemented CO2 requires a sealed room. A tent exchanging its air every minute exhausts your CO2 as fast as you add it. Sealing the tent means solving heat and humidity another way, usually with an air conditioner.
The prerequisites
CO2 only helps if PPFD is already above roughly 900 µmol/m²/s and temperatures can be held higher, around 82-86°F. Below that intensity, light is your limiting factor and extra CO2 does nothing.
What to do instead
Fresh air exchange gives you ambient CO2 around 400-420 ppm for free. Focus your budget on more light, better climate control, and canopy management first.
