Feminized seeds skip the heartbreak of nursing a plant for eight weeks and discovering it is male. Nearly every seed becomes a flowering female.
Photoperiod plants flower when you flip the light to 12/12, which means you control the size of the plant. Veg longer for bigger yields, or flip early for a fast turnaround.
Germinate by soaking 15 hours in a dark cup of room-temperature water, then move to a damp paper towel in a sealed bag kept in the dark for a few days.
