How Much Will One Plant Yield? An Honest Answer

Per-plant yield numbers are close to meaningless because a plant is whatever size you let it become. Yield per square foot of well-lit canopy is the number that predicts your harvest.

The useful metric

Experienced indoor growers commonly land around 0.5 to 1.0 grams of dry flower per watt of actual LED power, and roughly 25-50 grams per square foot of canopy.

Realistic tent ranges

  • 2x2 with ~150W: 2-5 oz per run
  • 3x3 with ~300W: 5-10 oz per run
  • 4x4 with ~480W: 8-16 oz per run

What actually moves the number

Light intensity across the whole canopy, how completely you fill your footprint before flipping, climate stability, and never losing a week to a fixable problem. Genetics matter, but less than execution.

Frequently asked questions

Will more plants increase my yield?
