Wet Trim vs Dry Trim: Which Is Better?
There is no universal winner. The right choice depends mostly on your drying environment's humidity.
Wet trimming
Trimming immediately after cutting is faster and easier because leaves stand out stiffly. It also speeds the dry considerably, which is a problem in dry climates and a benefit in humid ones.
Dry trimming
Hanging whole and trimming after 10-14 days slows the dry and protects trichomes with a leaf blanket. It is harder work — dried leaves curl into the bud — and it requires more hanging space.
How to choose
In a humid environment, wet trim to help the flower dry down. In a dry environment, dry trim to slow it. Both produce excellent results when the dry conditions land at 60/60.
