Trimming Faster Without Wrecking Your Buds
Trimming a full harvest by hand takes hours. Most of the pain comes from bad posture, sticky blades, and no system.
Tools and setup
Spring-loaded curved snips beat scissors. Keep two pairs and swap when resin builds up, cleaning the idle pair with isopropyl. Sit at table height with a tray in your lap and good light.
Technique
Remove fan leaves by hand before touching snips. Work branch by branch from the bottom up. Cut sugar leaf at the base rather than shaving tips — fewer cuts, cleaner result.
Do not over-trim
Shaving into the bud removes trichomes. Trim what sticks out past the flower's outline and stop.
Save the trim
Sugar leaf carries real trichome content and can be dried and stored for edibles or extract. Keep it separate and dry it like flower.
